Dr Pete Manasantivongs
Dr Pete Manasantivongs is Academic Director of the Master of Business Analytics program. His previous roles at MBS include Director of Global Engagement, Director of the Full-Time MBA Program and Market Insights Manager. He has taught on the Data & Decisions, Data Analysis and Business Mathematics components of the Full-Time and Part-Time MBA programs, and for MBS Executive Education. Pete has published in the academic journal Expert Systems with Applications and on the Conversation website, and has done data consulting work for organisations such as QBE Insurance and VicRoads.
Before joining the education sector, Pete was an Associate at Lexicon Branding, a consultancy based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he directed linguistic risk analysis and market research projects for clients such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Microsoft, Intel, eBay, Nokia, RIM Blackberry, Colgate, Nissan, Eli Lilly and Gap Inc. Pete holds an undergraduate honours degree from Harvard University in Applied Mathematics with a specialisation in Probability and Statistics, a PhD in linguistics from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA and Master of Marketing from Melbourne Business School.
